PhoneFree looks to score with Knicks, Rangers

Article Abstract:

PhoneFree.com has entered into a marketing agreement with NBA team New York Knicks and NHL team New York Rangers. The deal will give PhoneFree a major presence inside the Madison Square Garden and on all of its major TV and radio syndicates such as the MSG Network, Fox Sports New York and WFAN-AM. PhoneFree intends to give fliers to people attending the Knicks' playoff games and the Rangers' regular-season games. It would have on-site and outdoor signage, TV and radio commercials and T-shirt giveaways.

Koz.com hopes sausages mailing will whet appetite of BTB crowd

Durham, NC-based Koz.com has launched a direct mail campaign to promote its online community-building product, dubbed ichat2000.com, to Web developers, information technology executives and Web development companies. The direct mail campaign is part of an integrated promotional campaign conceptualized by Maxim Direct, a division of advertising agency Trone Advertising, which also includes banner advertising and the sponsorship of industry-targeted newsletters.

'Boot' mailer proves a good fit

Article Abstract:

Interadnet generated significant response with its direct-mail campaign featuring a shoebox and a toddler-sized work boot. The shoe had a personalized tag with a sales representative's name and an invitation to call for further information. The 15 direct-mail pieces were sent to eight vice-presidents of media services and directors of interactive media at ad agencies and to seven vice-presidents of marketing at Fortune 500 companies.
