Mixed Signals personalizes interactive television

Article Abstract:

Mixed Signals Technologies has introduced an interactive portal at the NATPE convention in New Orleans, LA. The new portal will give marketers the opportunity to advertise to certain consumers while providing immediate customer service. The portal will also give viewers with settop devices, such as Web TV Plus or AOL TV, a free home page. The home page will monitor their favorite Web sites and shows as well as standard news, sports, weather and stock market quotes.

Advanced paging services, instant e-mail, voice mail and fax notification will be offered by Totally Free Paging.com Inc to consumers who agree to have advertisements sent to their alphanumeric pagers. Customers who enlist for the service are required to answer questions including their age, marital status, income, hobbies and medical interests. Advertisers who place ads through Totally Free Paging.com are able to specify when, where and to who they want to send their instant advertisements.

NetForAll targets Hispanic market with I-TV

Article Abstract:

NetforAll Inc, the Houston, TX-based interactive television firm, is introducing a service aimed at the US Hispanic community. The company's set-top box and service will use a trilingual language system, in English, Portuguese and Spanish, that will be introduced in 70 US cities with high Hispanic populations such as New York, NY, Miami, FL, and Houston. NetForAll's service will include such basic Internet features as Web browsing and e-mail.
