Bill Jayme remembered for true creative work

Article Abstract:

Renowned marketing copywriter Bill Jayme died of emphysema at his home in Sonoma, CA, on May 18, 2001, at the age of 75. Jayme wrote the famous 'Cool Friday' letter for Life magazine's 15th anniversary, recounting what was going on around the world when Life was launched in 1936. He started his career at Time's circulation department, working under an equally famous copywriter, Frank Johnson. He established Jayme Ratalahti with Heikki Ratalahti in 1962 as his partner.
