OMC knowingly sold defective engines: former VP
Article Abstract:
Outboard Marine Corp's (OMC) bankruptcy filing has temporarily delayed a two-year legal battle between the company and one of its former top officials, Paul Rabe. In documents filed in a court in Chicago, IL, Rabe, now president of boats.com, accused OMC of selling engines it knew were defective and possibly dangerous, practicing price discrimination, trying to deceive its investors, and violating a confidentiality agreement by disclosing trade secrets. OMC, in counterclaims, has accused Rabe of 'fraud' and 'extortion' in his attempts to obtain money from the company.
