Yanmar claims half of powerboat refits
Article Abstract:
The study conducted by independent company, Power Research Systems, revealed that Yanmar Diesel America's diesels are used in more than half of US powerboat repowering projects. Figures of the research show that the engines of the Buffalo Grove, IL-based company were used in 51% of all repowered recreational diesel powerboats in the 150- to 1,000-hp range. These findings support Yanmar's claim of occupying the no 1 spot in sailboat engine retrofits.
