Sales growth predicted through year 2000
Article Abstract:
The outlook of prefabricated housing industry appears to be promising as companies are predicted to pose record-setting revenues from 1998-2001. In fact, the volume of manufactured houses to be shipped in 1998 is expected to increase by 2% and augment further to 4% by the year 2000. Multi-section homes, where the biggest growth is anticipated to take place, have been reported to account for 58% of all prefabricated houses sold. CIT credits these increases to various industry forces such as strong competition, marketing integration and retailing.

Western report
Article Abstract:
The manufactured housing industry in California posted growth for the first quarter of 1997. Many consumers are now aware of the advantages of manufactured houses over site-built houses. The National Conference of States on Building Codes and Standards(NCSBCS) reports a sales increase for the first quarter of 1997, with a 6.5% increase in production level. Liberal Calilfornia zoning laws and good economic situations may contribute to the increase in market share of the industry.
