The hole truth
Article Abstract:
A five year study of curtain walling by Taywood Engineering shows that nearly 70% of curtain walling installed in new buildings fails to keep out water. Some 101 randomly chosen curtain wall installations were subjected to a series of tests, including a simple water test designed to represent falling rain. The results showed that panellised curtain walling gave better results than stick-type curtain walling.
