Article Abstract:
Construction of the Millennium Dome in London, England is overseen by the project director Bernard Ainsworth. The budget for the dome has come in at under 11 million pounds sterling less than expected at 209 million pounds sterling. Over 600 workers have been involved in the construction of the dome, requiring catering and rest facilities built on a temporary site. Ainsworth believes the success of the construction team lies in the positive way in which the contract was drawn up, giving all parties equal responsibility.
