The tide of offshore call center bills

Article Abstract:

Outsourcing of work to foreign countries has become a major discussion issue in most speeches by Presidential candidates. While Senator John Kerry is against it, President Bush is all for it, each of them having their own valid reasons for the same. Several pieces of legislation regarding offshore outsourcing are being debated upon in the congress. These proposed bills basically fit into four broad categories, which have been outlined and discussed.

FCC, FTC put telemarketing under a microscope

Article Abstract:

Telemarketing has been put under tough regime with the enforcement of the new telemarketing regulations. The Federal Trade Commission and Federal Communications Commission have served notice that compliance with the regulations is mandatory and several telemarketing firms have been sent the Civil Investigative Demands (CID). The six main components of a Telemarketing Compliance programme have been discussed.
