YachtWorld unveils its redesigned site

Seattle, WA-based YachtWorld.com has redesigned its web page to give it a new look and make it easier to use. The company reports that it has improved the legibility of the site's text, increased the use of color and reduced the graphics featured to get a quicker load. It also increased editorial boating and fishing content and introduced a worldwide resource center for finding weather reports and tidal charts.

Boats.com, which is yet to announce its launch date, continues to campaign for industry support in building the boating's premier electronic marketplace. As of Sep 2000, it signed up more than 40 manufacturers, including Lake Forest, Il-based Brunswick Corp, the US' biggest boat and engine manufacturer, and Minneapolis, MN-based Genmar Holdings Corp, the largest privately-held boat manufacturer in the world.
