However, parents must set up an online cash account with personalized spending limits and account management capabilities. Parent can also preselect the online retailers from which their children can shop. Among the online retailing partners are Outpost.com, Whutever.com by Fingerhut, American Eagle Outfitters and KidFlix.com.

eGo sends customers directly to Web sites

Article Abstract:

Durham, NC-based Planet Portal is offering eGo, a hardware that will help users access their preferred Internet sites faster. The product features 40 keys divided into the personal, information and electronic commerce sections. A CD-ROM that explains how a software version can be downloaded and used independent of the product comes with eGo. Planet Portal projects around 10 million users for its new product by the end of 2000.
