1996-99 Mercury Sable

Article Abstract:

Ford Motor Co's 1996-1999 Mercury Sable models are a fully redesigned generation of Sables. Two engine options drive one four-speed automatic in these cars. This generation provide advantages in terms of dual air bags, optional anti-lock braking systems, steering and handling, passenger space and cargo room. In addition, acceleration in the LS is another virtue. Drawbacks of this generation include the automatic transmission performance of the GS models and rear visibility.

Ford Motor Co's 1990-1994 Mercury Topaz models are similar to the Ford Tempo. These models provide advantages in terms of fuel economy, wet weather traction with the all-wheel drive, and price. Drawbacks include engine noise, road noise, rear seating space, automatic transmission performance and acceleration with the four-cylinder engine. Motorized automatic shoulder belts are standard for driver and passenger alike.
