A survey of the cost of made-to-measure curtains velvet curtains with pinch pleated heading tape has revealed significant differences in prices. Prices quoted varied between 155-530 pounds sterling per pair, the price for making up the curtains alone varied from free-of-charge to 200 pounds. Discrepancies were found in the quantity of material required for a standard size window, varying between 10 and 15 metres. Advice on choosing curtains is given.

Teenagers in the Washington D.C. area traditionally head to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, when school gets out in June. Older teens rent beach houses and spend the week drinking, smoking, and socializing with the opposite sex. A college woman spends a week at the beach with a group of recent graduates, many of them headed for Ivy League schools, at the beach and reports on their behavior.
