An evaluation of camera films and processors ranked Kodak Gold 100, priced at 3.49 pounds sterling for 24 exposures, as a best buy film for most photography. Other films which ranked well included Kodak 200, Fujicolor Super G100, 200 or Reala; and Agfacolor XRG400 and Kodak Gold 400 for photography in dull light or indoors. Of the processors evaluated, Bonusfilm, Bonusphoto, Bonuspost, Bonusprint, and Fotocolor gave the best results.

Different kinds of films available were tested and rated according to price, performance in terms of brightness, dullness, flash and consistency. The making of the film provided by companies like Boots, Jessops, Asda were found to be well consistent and were rated among the best buys.

An evaluation is presented of the photographic film processing services of a number of high-street services and mail order companies. Best results from mail order services came from Bonusprint and best high-street services were from Boots and Snappy Snaps.
