Audiological tests on eight hearing aid users who were encountering problems with their aids found that inappropriate aids had been prescribed, or that they required only simple adjustments, or the users had suffered insensitive treatment. The two types of hearing aids are described, linear, which amplify all sounds equally, and compression, which can be adjusted to amplify some sounds more than others. Will dandruff shampoos really help?
Article Abstract:
A survey of dandruff shampoos found that those containing the active ingredient piroctone olamine control dandruff well by acting on the micro-organisms. 14 major name dandruff shampoos contain active ingredients which are not always listed, including shampoos from Boots, Palmolive, Revlon and Sainsbury's. The concentration of the active ingredient is critical, and over half the shampoos surveyed did not state how much active ingredient was contained and in what concentrations.
