Pyramid-shaped cartons take advantage of the current trend for eating and drinking on the go. This packaging, launched by Tetra Pack in 1960 is now used by brands such as Andros, Nestle, and Candia, and private labels such as Carrefour and Elea/Auchan for packaging chilled snacks for children. The pyramid shaped cartons now target young consumers who eat on the go outside the home.

FRANCE: TETRA PAK IMPROVES ITS PRODUCTION

The Tetra Pak plant at Longvic in the Cote-d'Or departement, has adopted the Japanese Kaizen method for ongoing production improvement, by accelerating the flow and reducing the tool change time. Tetra Pak France is currently evaluating what the company can provide in the spring water and domain and for new synthetic waters.
