FRANCE: OPTIMISATION OF TASTE OF FOODS
Article Abstract:
Manufacturers must work simultaneously on three essential packaging elements in order to satisfy the expectations of consumers who increasingly want authentic products which are cooked perfectly and which taste good. These elements are: improvement of the environment in the packaging area, with clean rooms; improvement in pasteurisation and sterilisation; and the packaging itself. The packaging for cooking which has a valve has a bright future, because this technology which transforms the packaging into a buttered paper or silver foil packaging, or into a pressure cooker, conserves all of the contents aromatic particles.

FRANCE: THE SUCCESS OF POM'POTES
Article Abstract:
Materne's Pom'potes fruit compote is now the leader on its segment with 2,500 tonnes sold, ten months after its launch. This success is due to its advertising campaign, which stressed the practical side of the mini-bottle and on the fact that the compote can be eaten anywhere. The product targets mainly children because the spot is broadcast during children's programs, and samples are distributed in schools.
