Balancing the global carbon budget

Article Abstract:

The global balance of carbon budget must always be maintained which means the annual increase in the amount of carbon in the atmosphere, oceans and land should balance the carbon emissions form fossil fuels and other sources. The process responsible for net sources and sinks of carbon also need to be understood which will lead to more accurate predictions of the rate and extent of climatic change.

Stable isotope based paleoaltimetry

Article Abstract:

A new theory behind the application of stable isotope-based approaches to paleoaltimetry is described. The paleoaltimetry technique was applied to Himalaya-Tibet and the Andes to understand their surface uplift.

Using the paleorecord to evaluate climate and fire interactions in Australia

Article Abstract:

Fire interactions and their relation with climate in Australia were evaluated using paleorecords. The records studied show that fires or burning was facilitated during periods of climate change.
