Genetics of kin selection: the role of behavioral inclusive fitness
Article Abstract:
A system introduced for understanding the equilibria and dynamics of diploid sib-sib kin selection classifies the difference between exact and approximate models of kin selection, which differ in their treatment of relatedness. Various forms of relatedness and their relationship to Hamiltons' rule and to individual and behavioral inclusive fitness are explored. There is a substitute for the true behavioral fitness functions that plays a role in the description of selection of the behavioral inclusive fitness functions.

Evidence for an association between nonadditive genetic variation and extreme expression of a trait
Article Abstract:
There are two explanations for the association between trait values and nonadditive genetic variation that relate to the selection history of a trait. Primarily, an increase in epistasis at extremes may result from the types of selection that operate in normal and extreme environments. Moreover, stabilizing selection reduces the expression of dominance and epistasis under the conditions normally experienced by the organism.
