Thermal anomalies associated with forced and free ground-water convection in the Dead Sea rift valley: discussion and reply
Article Abstract:
A novel model for groundwater flow system was developed to provide an efficient and highly-accurate tool for identifying the apparent causes of thermal anomalies in the Dead Sea rift valley. Through the use of data derived from carbon-dating, chemical composition and mineralogy, the proposed framework stressed that geothermal anomaly may occur persistently with geochemical evolution. This conclusion, however, raises a number of questions pertaining to the spontaneity of volcanic heat anomaly with geochemical fingerprints.

Geochronology and geochemistry of Putnam-Nashoba terrane metavolcanic and plutonic rocks, eastern Massachusetts: constraints on the early Paleozoic evolution of eastern North America
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine the geochronology and geochemistry of metavolcanic and plutonic rocks in the Putnam-Nashoba in east Massachusetts. Data collected showed that the formation of the Putnam-Nashoba terrane occurred during the Silurian and Ordovician time in a volcanic-arc environment. A similarity between the Bronson Hill anticlinorium and the Putnam-Nashoba terrane was also observed in terms of the age of basement and cover rocks found in the two areas.
