A Stackelberg model of Social Security acceptance decisions in dual career households
Article Abstract:
A Stackelberg game with male leadership was employed to assess the nature of joint Social Security acceptance decisions of husbands and wives. Social Security decisions of husbands and wives were found to be influenced by monetary incentives and various individual and household characteristics. The Stackelberg game revealed that symmetric decision making mechanisms, such as household bargaining, are associated with the similarity in roles assumed by husbands and wives.

Skill, complexity and strategic behavior
Article Abstract:
A simple game-theoretic model of bounded rationality was utilized to illustrate the impact of cognitive limitations on behavior. The model, which centers on decision complexity, involves random pairing of two groups composed of differently skilled subjects. Such group of subjects are then allowed to engage in games they have chosen. The model revealed the existence of multiple equilibria that possess common traits.
