A political economy model of congressional careers

Article Abstract:

The efficacy of a member of congress is analyzed with the help of an econometric model. The probability of the member being re-elected, the effects on public and private sector wages, value of a congressional seat etc. are determined from the model. The effect of congressional wages and term are also ascertained from the model.
