Bahrain's new copyright law
Article Abstract:
Bahrain's first copyright law became effective on Jun 9, 1993. The law protects the rights of authors of intellectual property, including books, speeches, movies, photos and computer software. The law applies to all works of Bahraini authors published for the first time in any country and foreign authors published in Bahrain. The law also protects Arabs from states that have signed the Arab Copyright Protection Agreement. People whose copyrights are violated are eligible for compensation.

Technopark will help develop production specs to EU norms
Article Abstract:
The groundbreaking ceremony of the 56-hectare Technopark in Turkey signifies the possibility that the facilities will satisfy the production standards of the European Union. Meeting the EU standards is necessary for the development of the Turkish industries such as automobiles, textiles and food packaging. The government intends to offer incentives of as much as 75% of outlay costs for domestic and foreign tenants conducting research and development activities.
