Desalination in the Kingdom: A market you can count on
Article Abstract:
Saudi Arabia has not been able to cope with the increasing demand for desalinated water despite its continuous investments in new and renovated desalination plants. As such, desalination is seen as a major industry in the Kingdom as it provides foreign firms with opportunities for joint ventures, training, operation and maintenance. The Saline Water Conversion Corp. is responsible for designing, building, operating and maintaining all desalination plants in Saudi Arabia.
