Article Abstract:

The leverage ratio, risk-based capital standard, stress test and value-at-risk are measures used to assess capital adequacy in relation to financial risk. Stress test offers simulation to assess the performance of a company when faced with financial difficulties. Value-at-risk measure, meanwhile, gives companies a view on their ability to remain solvent under a wide array of economic situations and determines risks accompanying trading portfolios.
