Exchange rate policies for developing countries
Article Abstract:
The use of exchange rate policy as a disinflation instrument is examined utilizing data from 18 developing countries from 1965 onwards. Emphasizing on the period 1980-1990, the study highlights the differences effected by a real targets approach and a nominal anchor strategy. It also suggests that developing countries refrain from making fixed exchange rate commitments because of the nature of their economies and trade policies.

Aid conditionality and military expenditure reduction in developing countries: models of asymmetric information
Article Abstract:
The relationship between military expenditure reduction and aid policy development is examined for developing countries. Associating reduction with policy generated donor and recipient problems. Donors and recipients both benefitted when conditions are established through multilateral aid negotiations. Optimal policy is created when both parties discuss security and development programs.
