Far from a MORIbund business
Article Abstract:
Market Research Opinion International Ltd (MORI) company secretary Peter Hutchison says that although opinion polls account for 30 percent of the firm's business, they are by no means a predominant part. Hutchison points out that MORI is active in nine other research areas, ranging from corporate image and communications to consumer marketing and employee attitudes. MORI has shown average compound growth of 27 percent over the last ten years, and 36.4 percent over the last five years. Success for MORI has been attributable in part to increased recognition of the value of communication programs and the changing nature of market research. The 65-person MORI staff enjoys a profit-sharing scheme in which 10 percent of each year's profits are allocated according to merit.
