Food safety issues, trade and WTO rules: a developing country perspective
Article Abstract:
The authors suggest that international food safety rules and the corresponding dispute settlement mechanism advanced by the World Trade Organization should be viewed by developing countries not as barriers but as opportunities to improve market sophistication and quality standards in food export.
