Fridges and freezers

Article Abstract:

In the United Kingdom cold storage appliance market the fridge-freezer as a single unit is the most popular purchase accounting for 38% of sales during 1995 even though it is more costly than freezers or fridges. Most homes already have a refrigeration appliance but there is a strong market in renewing old appliances with almost 2.5 million sold during 1995 at a cost of 611 million pounds sterling. These products do not rely on specific publicity to improve sales although purchases are often made through customer identification of particular manufacturers of electrical goods.
