How welfare policies affect child and adolescent achievem

Article Abstract:

The effects of welfare and employment programs change over the childhood age span, with more positive effects for pre-school and early-school-age children and more negative effects for the adolescent children. Programs that increase parents' transition from welfare to employment have their strongest effects on children when these impacts coincide with transition points in children's behavior.

Article Abstract:

This study seeks to find a correlation between the cleanliness of a person's home and their level of success. In this study it shows that people with higher incomes tended to have a cleaner house. The purpose of the clean house test is to examine a person's organizational skills.

A number of white college freshmen are assigned with black roommates during their initial year in college. The consequences of the resulting intergroup interactions on the students' attitudes and behaviors are investigated.
