Inflation, Shadow Prices and the EMU: Evidence From Greece
Article Abstract:
Research on Greek manufacturing industries shows that significant allocative costs are linked to inflation, based on a model depicting shadow price-actual price deviation as a function of the economy-wide inflation level. Implications for Greece's European Monetary Union convergence are discussed.

Testing for temporal asymmetry in the price-volume relationship

Evidence is presented supporting temporal asymmetry within price-volume relationships for the crude oil futures market. Bidirectional causality is demonstrated via threshold models; discussion includes explanations for this finding.
