Investments in African businesses and industries are proving to be profitable. The continent's stock markets are performing well for several reasons. Quoted equities receive significant pricing power and are locally dominant. High costs of in-and-out trading have induced investors to operate primarily dedicated funds, which reduces instability.

Investing in Thailand: positive signs amid the turmoil

Article Abstract:

Thailand does not appear to be drawing nearer to financial recovery, although more than one year has gone by since the economic crisis that brought currency collapse to its region. The country badly needs foreign investment. The Board of Investment has relaxed regulations again as part of an effort to bring in foreign capital.

Relative prices and investment rates

Article Abstract:

Research constructing a panel for price relations between consumption and aggregate investments is presented. Particular attention is given to price differences, changes and dispersions amongst countries. Negative correlations between low relative prices and prices of investments are stressed.
