Foreign firms should pay close attention to the construction of a dispute resolution framework when entering into joint ventures or defense contracts with Turkish firms. Most disagreements that arise between involved parties center around contract performance. Dispute resolutions should allow for both parties to continue business while disputes are being handled through predetermined channels of resolution. It is important to resolve disputes in a timely fashion. Special considerations for defense contractors are discussed.
