Marx, Marxism and the cooperative movement
Article Abstract:
An argument regarding the continuing neglect of Marxists both of the cooperative movement and of the passages from Marx that present a system of producer cooperatives as a new production mode is presented to trace back the late emergence of an economic theory of producer cooperatives. The system of producer cooperatives envisaged by Marx is a market system where workers become 'their own masters' and owners of capital are deprived of decision-making power.

The ontology of economic power in capitalism: mainstream economics and Marx
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the hypothesis that capitalism constantly reproduces uneven constraints on classes of individuals is presented. This argument is based on Marxism and the concept of critical realism. Conclusions show that ontologically, power-competition is untenable, and that capitalist relations involve power because of the nature of capitalism.
