On Hold for a Year

Article Abstract:

The administration appears reluctant to tackle the budget deficit with an oncoming election year and continuing economic recovery. Various tax increase proposals and the effects of a tax increase are examined. Feldstein, who supports a tax increase, predicts that investment will suffer greatly from the ongoing deficit.
