On opportunity inequality measurement

Article Abstract:

A strategy was employed to create a measurement theory that is synonymous to income inequality. The approach revealed that generation of a Lorenz-like partial ordering can only happen when agents' opportunity sets were ordered based on their cardinalities. The creation of a partial opportunity inequality that is similar to the unidimensional Lorenz ordering can be achieved whenever the opportunity sets are rated based on their cardinality ordering.
