Inside-outside money competition
Article Abstract:
Inside money competition may enhance efficiency if the provision of increasingly efficient inside money competes with a fully committed central bank aiming at maximizing revenues. Two main qualifications to the view that inside-outside money competition works as standard product competition are mentioned.
