Product diversity in Asymmetric Oligopoly: Is the quality of consumer goods too low?
Article Abstract:
Research into the quality differences in high and low quality products costs and availability is given. Using an oligopoly model incorporating horizontal differentiation and quality differences, the research shows when the market allows for high quality and low quality products.

The diversity of R and D consortia and firm behavior: Evidence from Japanese data
Article Abstract:
Research into Japan's government sponsored research and development consortia is given. The research uses the Montgomery index to measure diversity based on 3 digit SIC codes as well as modifications of the Jaffe patent portfolio based index.
