Profiting from Protectionism

Article Abstract:

Japan has had a stable world market share since 1980. Foreign protectionism has merely increased Japanese profits. This has caused little competition among Japanese exporters, except in the area of cameras. Camera prices to foreigners have fallen. Graphs show export and domestic prices by commodity.
