Response rates for the CPI, 2003
Article Abstract:
The bureau of labor statistics is computing the response rates to assess the results of data collected for the consumer price index (CPI), furthermore the response rates determines the part of finished surveys to the issued ones and hence evaluates the correctness of CPI. The response rate at the information collection stage for protection is divided in to three parts depending on its utility.

The importance of quality changes in fifteen model passenger cars for 2004 comprises of the producer price index (PPI) for October 2004 as adjudged by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Moreover the changes made in January 1999 to meet the standard of air pollution is no more regarded as an enhancement in the quality for the computation of consumer price index (CPI).

The Bureau of Labor Statistics circulates the seasonally adjusted and unadjusted information every month because the price information is utilized by different people for different reasons. The seasonal aspects that are considered in calculating the seasonally adjusted indexes could be achieved with the help of the X-12-ARIMA, which is the Seasonal Adjustment Method.
