Simple subscription mechanisms for excludable public goods
Article Abstract:
Simple mechanisms were proposed for excludable public goods to implement a stable and efficient production and cost-sharing outcome based on consumers' minimal requested level of public good and subscription toward its production. The order of moves determined the subscriptions in one of the mechanisms developed. In the second mechanism, subscriptions were order-independent and symmetric. The results showed that equilibrium outcomes induced by the mechanisms were immune to strategic deviations by coalitions.
