Article Abstract:

The small business employee compensation was studied during the period January 1986 to December 2003. The data revealed that plans to raise compensation fell two points to a seasonally adjusted 12 percent of all firms and it has added that with improving labor markets, compensation was likely to maintain strength.

Three tables and a graph representing the inventories of small businesses in the United States are presented. The tables include figures on actual inventory changes, inventory satisfaction, and inventory plans.
