Article Abstract:

The efforts undertaken by Russian policy makers to reconcile the legal framework for labor relations inherited from the Soviet period with the requirements of a modern, well-functioning labor market are highlighted. The vast growth in informal labor market relations is actually the result of the inappropriate application of excessive burdens on Russian employers.

Trends and efficiency in vocational training and retraining the unemployed

Article Abstract:

The results of an analysis of the efficiency of vocational training using the available statistics are presented. The survey was conducted in five regions of Russian Federation were the industrially developed regions, where there was overall production and labor market trends improved, in recent years.
