The simultaneous, ascending auction: dynamics of price adjustment in experiments and in the UK3G spectrum auction

Article Abstract:

The behavior of bidders in simultaneous ascending auctions (SAA), which is a multiple unit auction and based on two principles, the principle of surplus maximization and principle of bid minimization is examined. The issue of early auction data to predict when such auction might end and value inferences is also investigated.

Decentralised management of common property resources: experiments with a centuries-old institution

Article Abstract:

An experiment that was conducted on the centuries old special system of managing common properties followed by the villages of Italian Alps is presented. The efficiency of the resources improved considerably according to the experiment with this institution.

Aging and decision making: a comparison between neurologically healthy elderly and young individuals

Article Abstract:

The results of experiments on economic decisions with healthy elderly and young individuals are reported. The theory that age impairs decision making is disproved. Elderly individuals are supported for their objectivity.
