Trade and economic relations with India

Article Abstract:

The USSR and India have historically enjoyed a relationship of encompassing trade and economic ties bases on economic and political factors, but since 1991 there was a reduction in Russian imports to India, mainly petroleum and petroleum products, and an overall decline in imports from India. In 1998 cooperation projects include modernizing metal work, power plants and assistance in operations and updating power plants. In exchange India is offering to repay credit for Russia to purchase goods and services from India.
