Tribune Entertainment Co's US Farm Report television program will celebrate its silver anniversary in Jul 2000. The program, which debuted in Chicago, IL, is the country's second-longest running program dedicated to American agriculture. Tribune's US Farm Report, a nationally syndicated television show, is also touted as the top agribusiness program in all major farm and ranch demographics. The show's producer and host, Orion Samuelson, was honored in Jan 2000, for the show's achievements.

Since then, the joint venture has emerged as one of the leading crop input providers in North America.

Firestone Ag Tire Company recognized by John Deere

Firestone Agricultural Tire Co, the Des Moines, IA-based supplier of ag tires, has been awarded 'Partner' status under the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program in 1999. The 'Partner' status, the second straight year that the tire supplier has received the award, is the highest achievable level under the John Deere program. Firestone also received a similar distinction from John Deere Seeding Co.
