Uncle Fidel, Uncle Yuri
Article Abstract:
The Sandinist regime could have made Nicaragua a model of tolerant, socialist non-alignment. However, their dependence on Russia prevents this. The government has not implemented control by a collective economy. Factors include a split leadership, economic disorder, and fear of the church. It is not too late for the revolution to turn around.
