President Reagan's hopes for re-election are buoyed by the booming American economy. However, Reagan's fiscal policies will have to change in 1985 to deal with a huge budget deficit, which is currently being financed by loans from foreigners. Graphs show gross domestic product (GDP) and current account balance.

Should Reagan Run?
Article Abstract:
The advantages of Ronald Reagan running for a second term as United States president are reviewed. The recovery of the United States economy might put Reagan back into the Whitehouse, but his policies might not be beneficial for another four years. His foreign policy is unstable. Strong leadership is needed.
