A path out of poverty for Oklahoman
Article Abstract:
Jeannie Pelletier has not let poverty deter her from achieving her goals. She is one of the brightest students at the Crooked Oak High School in Oklahoma City, OK. Pelletier spends four hours at the high school before she goes to Metro Tech's Springlake campus for her vocational-technical classes. She learns word processing, computer applications and business technology at Metro Tech. She intends to join the Oklahoma State University and plans on a career in business.

The government is aiming to develop the NHS along the lines of a market economy. Education reforms, particularly those affecting nursing, midwives and community health nursing will effectively follow those in service areas. The tertiary education sector will be challenged by the advent of central purchasing for pre-registration nurse and midwifery education at diploma or higher education levels in Scotland.

Reducing poverty: alternative approaches
Article Abstract:
Poverty is a social disease that the welfare system may be unwittingly promoting by eradicating motivations in an individual. Instead of merely providing support, the needy will benefit more if the the welfare program focus on education and job training to enhance their self-sufficience.
