American workers are stressed out
Article Abstract:
The numbers of stress related disabilities in the US have doubled since 1982, and 75-90% of the visits to doctors are due to stress problems. The personal problems of the employees are also related to job stress. Employees are over-worked due to the reduction in the workforce, and the increased responsibilities of the remaining workers. Women are more prone to stress-related problems due to their involvement with work and family. To alleviate stress the need to take time to relax has to be recognized.
